These race days have been rescheduled to new days. Tickets remain valid
Pardubice, 12 September 2024 – The organiser of horseracing at Pardubice racecourse has moved the race meeting planned for this weekend to new dates. This is in response to the current weather conditions and warnings from meteorologists, who have issued warnings about severe rainfall and strong winds. Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan has also called for events at the weekend to be curtailed.
Unfortunately, the weather forecast for Pardubice for this weekend is very unfavourable. Dostihový spolek has taken the decision to reschedule the two racedays in an effort to ensure the safety of participants in the races and also spectators. In addition, the unfavourable conditions could impact the state of the racecourse and its usability. The decision, in accordance with the relevant paragraph in the rules and regulations, was reached in consultation with the horseracing commission, the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic, and on the basis of current meteorological data. If holding a meeting comes under threat or becomes impossible, the event can be postponed by a maximum of eight days after the original date.
The Qualification race meeting planned for Saturday September 14th will therefore be held on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024. The timetable and the programme of races will be unchanged. The first race will be run at 1 p.m. Tickets that have been bought will of course remain valid.
The Town of Pardubice Summer Stakes race meeting, with races on the flat and over hurdles, was originally planned for Sunday, September 15th. and will now be run on Monday, September 23rd. In connection with the delayed running of the fourth and final qualification race for the 134th running of the Velka Pardubicka with Slavia Insurance, Dostihový spolek has also asked the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic to extend the deadline for entries for the Velka Pardubicka. The new closing date for entries will be September 24th. 2024. Declarations to run will remain on the original date, October 3rd., when the ceremonial drawing of the starting numbers will also take place.
